A number of our listeners also enjoy recreational computer games. We encourage this habit. Here are some of Drexzor's recent favorites:
Synaesthete: A rhythm-game based shooter with beautiful graphics and quite innovative gameplay. The view is 3/4 and you maneuver your character around various rooms while shooting monsters. The catch? To shoot them you have to match the beats that go along with the game's (very nice) soundtrack. Somewhere Berzerk hooked up with Beatmania and this game was conceived. This game was developed by a group of Digipen students:
N: Way of The Ninja : An update of this game was recently released for purchase on X-box Live Arcade under the name N+. N+ includes online multi-player which is fiendishly fun. However, this link will give you a free version of the original packed with a ton of user created levels. The level editor on this game is simply stellar. The gameplay itself is 2-d
Not free...but fun:
Audio-Surf : A mixture of a puzzler/shooter/music game. The levels are created by your own audiofiles, or via audio-surf radio. Basically, the contour, difficulty, and speed of the level will be determined by the soundfiles you choose. You maneuver a ship along a mult-laned track trying to avoid grey blocks, and match-up same-colored blocks. Best of all, if you are near an internet connection, you can compete with others to see who is the master of your favorite songs.
J-Unit 1 plays under the name KzooKiller and last he checked had high score on some of Enon's songs.
That's it for now.

Glitches
Yesterday's aired program of The Deuce Project will not be entered into the podcast archives. There were some major technical difficulties at the start of the show that made the sound quality abysmal.
We were going to post some mp3s of the Old Time Radio (OTR) show Dimension X in order to make up for the lack of a podcast this week. As luck would have it, when looking for original broadcast information regarding the episode we came across this internet gem:
http://www.archive.org/details/OTRR_Certified_Dimension_X
This archive has the best quality recordings we've heard for the show. It is missing a few episodes that we have and will contribute later, but for now this is an absolute great find for OTR fans. Dimension X is one of the premier science fiction radio dramas of the past. It featured fantastic episodes sometimes adapted from authors such as Ray Bradbury and other great authors. The winners of the Deuce Project Box Set need not bother downloading these as I will be including a copy of all my Dimension X and X-Minus 1 episodes in the box set (which should be available for pick up by next Wed.)
I will be posting an older podcast later this week (maybe even tonight), and probably a quick set that featured the best of this week's show later on this week. Hopefully things will get back on schedule soon. We apologize for the delays, but really, it is delaying our conquest of this world so that should be of some consultation to you.

Arthur C. Clarke: 1917-2008
Yesterday one of the great science fiction writers of our time passed on. His work inspired wonder in his readers, something that is often sadly lacking in the human experience. He will be missed, but his work will still go on to entertain and inspire.
